Fire engulfs Joplin automotive business

Several fire departments were called to a large structure fire at the Route 66 Auto Center (Green Flag Automotive) at 4882 East 7th Street in Joplin Sunday.

The first call came in just after 11 am, as numerous firefighters from Duenweg, Joplin, Webb City, and Redings Mill battled the blaze.

No reports of any injuries but the investigation continues. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
