Missouri WIC program to see a temporary increase in funds

The Missouri WIC program is temporarily increasing the Cash Value Benefit for Fruit and Vegetables to $35 per month for eligible women and children, according to an MDHSS news release.

The American Rescue Plan Act gave the USDA authority to temporarily increase the CVB during the federally declared Covid-19 pandemic.

Standard CVB values range from $9 - $11.

Those who are eligible should contact their WIC local agency to schedule an appointment to load the additional funds on their eWIC card before June 1 to avoid delays.

Those interested in learning more about WIC can visit wic.mo.gov or call 1-800-835-5465 to find the closest local WIC agency.
