Joplin home fire

Joplin firefighters responded to a blaze just before 4 AM this morning at 2421 South Florida.  When crews arrived, they discovered a residential structure showing fire and smoke.

The fire was quickly extinguished leaving heat and smoke damage throughout the home.

One person was home at the time of the blaze and was able to escape without injury.
