Eastern Missouri firefighter injured

A firefighter was injured on Thursday after a large chemical fire that led to evacuations in south St. Louis County.

The firefighter was taken to a hospital after overheating, His injuries are not life-threatening.  The fire began about 2:30 p.m. at Manor Chemical Company, near Marlborough. It was under control about 2 ½ hours later.     

Everyone within a half-mile of the scene was evacuated.
