NEO to host in-person 2021 commencement

Miami, Oklahoma – Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) are announcing that in-person commencement exercises will be held on Thursday, May 6, at 5 p.m. on Red Robertson Field.

“We are very excited to host an in-person commencement ceremony for our graduates and their families,” said NEO President Dr. Kyle Stafford. “Thanks to the community’s cooperation with our on-campus guidelines and the rollout of vaccines in the state, we are confident in our ability to provide a safe environment to celebrate the success of these students who have overcome more challenges than they even thought possible.”

Weather determinations will be made by noon on May 6. In the event of rain, each student will receive 4 guest passes and the three schools will split, with ceremonies to be held at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. in the NEO Student Activity Center (SAC).

The following list includes time and dates for NEO’s commencement activities:

 Wednesday, May 5, 2021

  • American Indian Center for Excellence (AICE) Pinning Ceremony – 4:00 p.m. in Kah-Ne Hall

Thursday, May 6, 2021

  • Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. at Red Robertson Field (Relocated to SAC in the event of rain)
  • NEO Commencement starts at 5 p.m. at Red Robertson Field
    • Rain relocation plan:
      • Agriculture and Natural Sciences – 5 p.m. SAC
      • Human Environmental Sciences – 6:30 p.m. SAC
      • Liberal Arts – 8 p.m. SAC
