Bicknell vs Kansas $42.5 million dollar plus fight

The fight started 14 years ago between former Pizza Hut magnate Gene Bicknell and the Kansas Department of Revenue.   

The original amount put into escrow was $42.5 million dollars and was to be returned if he won his tax case.   He won in a court ruling last year.   Early in March this year, again the Kansas Department of Revenue refused to return his money.   

And now, Mr. Bicknell wants his money back.   Bicknell, a resident of Florida since 2003, has now filed a motion with the Kansas Court of Appeals to order the state to pay back the over $42.5 million dollars plus interest.
