Bowler Carl Richard dies

A longtime force in local and national bowling has died.

Carl Richard of Webb City, who began in his  youth setting pins, bowled professionally, and later owned Fourth Street Bowl in Joplin and other cities passed away last Friday.

He was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 1996.

Carl Richard was 97 years old.
