Home invasion suspect shot by Columbia resident

A home invasion suspect is dead after being shot by a resident of the Columbia home he allegedly broke into.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that 20-year-old Jacob D'Agostino of Columbia was shot early Friday.
Police say the resident of a home shot D'Agostino during an armed burglary attempt.
D'Agostino died at the scene.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
