Congressman Billy Long considering run for Senate

Will Southwest Missouri Congressman Billy Long be running for Roy Blunt’s Senate seat next year?    Congressman Long was on the Friday morning Newstalk KZRG Morning News Watch saying “No announcement today.  I am seriously considering it, just like several people in the state are considering it.”

Long told KZRG that he has some reasons to consider staying in his current position.  “Being in there ten years... it would be tough for me to walk away from this (house seat), because I really really enjoy. . . helping people.”

Congressman Billy Long says he will announce his decision as early as sometime next week.
