MSHP advises caution to outdoor enthusiasts with Spring approaching

The Missouri State Highway Patrol cautions those who plan on spending more time at Missouri lakes and rivers as Spring approaches. 

With the recent winter ice and snow impacting the area, boat docks have been potentially damaged.

Use the buddy system so someone is there to assist you if you end up in the water.

Also, boat owners are encouraged to thoroughly check their vessels for fuel and leaks before heading out onto the water.
