City of Joplin removes some social distancing restrictions

The Joplin City Council, by a 6-3 vote, has gotten rid of COVID-19 social distancing requirements for churches and restaurants in the city.

The council has also, by unanimous vote, gotten rid of the outdoor requirement for mass gatherings of 250 people.

The council also let the face mask mandate expire Sunday night as cases of COVID-19 continues to drop in the area.
