Boone County authorities investigating shooting death

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Boone County authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old.

The sheriff's department said deputies were called to a subdivision southwest of Columbia Monday night after gunshots were heard.

Responding officers found 19-year-old Jakob Cole, of Columbia, suffering from gunshot wounds.

He died later at a hospital. No other information was released.

Authorities continue to look for a suspect.
