Car crashes into Joplin church

In most cases, churches are for worshipping at -- not crashing cars into -- but that's what happened around 8:45 Saturday night near 26th and Connecticut.

The Joplin Police Department tells NewsTalk KZRG a car barrelled through a metal fenced before slamming into the Church of Christ at 1819 E. 26th.

Police are reportedly treating the incident as the result of an alleged D.W.I.

The driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
