Murder this morning at Mendota Creek apartments in Parsons

At 1:06 AM this morning, a shooting took the life of a man from Parsons, KS at the Mendota Creek Apartments, located at 1500 South 25th.
The Parsons Police Department reports that 22-year-old Parsons resident Levi Kendricks was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Witnesses reported seeing 29-year-old Malcolm Odom fleeing from the scene, but authorities were not able to catch him.
Odom should be considered armed and dangerous.
