Police investigate homicide in downtown Springfield

Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Springfield that left a man dead.
A city news release says officers heard gunshots early Saturday in the downtown area.
They found 32-year-old Robert Moffett, of Springfield, suffering from several gunshot wounds.
He died later at a hospital.
No suspect has been identified and no other information was released.
