Woman accused of assaulting deputy who told her to wear mask.

(AP) - A St. Louis County woman faces felony charges for allegedly assaulting a St. Louis sheriff's deputy who told her to wear a mask inside a downtown convenience store. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the incident happened Christmas Day at a Shell station on Tucker Boulevard. Ty'Nesha Ann Sims of Hazelwood is charged with second-degree assault on a special victim, armed criminal action and resisting/interfering with arrest. Police say Sims was violating the city's COVID-19 requirements by not wearing a mask when she entered the station. When the deputy told her to put on a mask she allegedly pushed and punched the deputy.
