Former coach takes new positions at Cottey College.

Cottey College will welcome a new basketball coach that will also take the mantle of athletic director.

Dr. Mary Ann Mitts, formerly of Missouri Southern State University, brings with her the title of winningest women’s basketball coach in school history from Missouri Southern State University.

During Dr.Mitts’s time as a coach, the Lions averaged 19 wins during her 13 years in the position.

Mitts achieved 14 winning seasons in her 17 years as a collegiate head coach.
