Webb City teacher pleads guilty to child molestation charges.

A former Webb City Junior High School math teacher and coach pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of third-degree child molestation Monday in Jasper County Circuit Court.

The allegations tie back to an incident involving a student in 2019.

29-year-old Nicholas Popejoy’s original charge was statutory sodomy.

Popejoy’s trial will be on May 17.
