Pedestrian hit by Pittsburg Police Car

Not a good way to end 2020.
On December 31st just before 11pm, while Pittsburg Police Officer Nicholas Cook was driving his city patrol unit south on Walnut. At the intersection of Kansas 23-year-old Marco Dias was hit by the police car while crossing the street to the West.
Dias sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and we will bring you more details as they become available.
