Pittsburg pile-up Christmas Eve produces pain for passenger

An accident Christmas Eve afternoon in Pittsburg resulted in injuries to one person.

It took place in the 2600 block of North Broadway in Pittsburg.

A vehicle driven by 72-year-old Clinton Hurt of Pittsburg hit a older-model Pontiac Bonneville driven by 21-year-old Jesse Kersey of Frontenac causing the the Bonneville to spin into oncoming traffic and be hit by a van driven by 60-year-old Fred Heck of Pittsburg.

A passenger in the Bonneville, 25-year-old Joshua Kersey of Frontenac, was taken to Via Christi hospital.

The accident is under investigation by the Pittsburg Police Department.
