Oklahoma teachers moved up on coronavirus vaccine list

(AP) Oklahoma school teachers have been moved to a higher priority on the list of those eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine. Gov. Kevin Stitt on Thursday said teachers are being moved from the third phase of vaccinations to the second phase. Stitt said his goal is to return all schools to in-person classes in January. Front-line health care workers have already started to be vaccinated. Long-term care providers and residents, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and pharmacy staff who will administer the vaccine in long-term care facilities will be vaccinated next. Oklahoma has reported 248,204 virus cases and 2,144 deaths since the pandemic began.
