Accident claims life of one-year-old Carthage boy

A one-year-old boy was killed when he was run over by an SUV in a driveway Monday afternoon at a home just west of Carthage.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that the Jeep was parked in the driveway when the driver began to move the vehicle and ran over the young boy that was underneath it.

This is Troop D’s 99th fatality for 2020.
