Semi Engulfed in Flames!

Semi-trailer “completely engulfed” in flames according to published reports. Just before 5:30 a.m., the vehicle was reported to be burning on 1-44 at exit 29. The driver was not injured in the incident. After noticing the fire, the driver separated from the trailer. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is on the scene. The contents of the trailer, 40,000 lbs of frozen meat, were found to be a total loss when removed by Henry’s Towing of Springfield.
