A Lanagan woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to identity theft.

A woman from Lanagan pleaded guilty Tuesday in Newton County Circuit Court and will face seven years in prison. 47-year-old Anglea Horton pleaded guilty to one count of B Felony Trafficking in Stolen Identities and will spend seven years in Missouri Department of Corrections.

On November 8th, 2019, Newton County Sherriff Office Deputies served a search warrant at a motel in Neosho that was rented in Horton’s name. In the room, law enforcement found stolen debit cards, socially security cards and other identifying information for several other victims.
