Driver facing charges after fatal accident in Joplin

A 33-year-old man from Joplin is facing multiple charges after a fatal accident just south of Joplin on Tuesday.

The accident happened when an SUV driven by Troy Key went off of Reinmiller Road, went into a ditch, and overturned. That crash killed his passenger, 30-year-old Jose Gonzalez of Joplin.

Key now faces felony driving while intoxicated–resulting in the death of another, careless and imprudent driving, and no valid driver’s license charges.
