Sixteen broadband projects announced in Missouri

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson has announced that 16 broadband projects from eight broadband providers will receive more than $3 million through the state’s Emergency Broadband Investment Program.

Parson says the effort will help connect almost 2,000 Missouri households.

Gov. Parson said expanding broadband is essential to Missouri’s infrastructure.

He said connecting more Missourians with high-speed internet will allow them to utilize digital platforms for education, health, and business, something that has become increasingly important as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
