Neosho flag thief turns himself in

A man from Arkansas has turned himself in after he stole several flags in Neosho. Read the full press release below:

On Thursday, Officers of the Neosho Police Department were dispatched to the area of U.S. Highway 60 and Highway 59 for a report of a suspicious person.

Officers later discovered the American Flag had been stolen from the Military Memorial Flag Staff display, just northeast of this intersection. Flags were also stolen from the VFW Hall and Arvest Bank on Harmony Street.

On Sunday, a male subject named Dennis Ray Peek Jr. turned himself in and admitted to the thefts at each of the above locations. The suspect is a 30-year-old male from Elkins, Arkansas, who is currently being held at the Newton County Jail on three charges of theft of an American Flags and Military Flags.
