Harbin nabbed in Carthage

Police now have the primary suspect in a shooting in Joplin over a week ago in custody.

27-year-old Tyrell Harbin of Joplin was nabbed by the Carthage Police on Saturday morning.

The shooting took place in the 2900 block of East 9th Street in Joplin on July 18. A woman suffered a gunshot wound resulting in heavy blood loss.

The announcement of the arrest was made on the JPD's social media page.

Harbin faces charges of first degree-assault and armed criminal action.
