Carl Junction man charged with involuntary manslaughter

A man from Carl Junction has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of his girlfriend a week a half ago.

Court documents say 23-year-old Jeremiah Tyner was cleaning a Glock handgun when he picked up an AR-15 and pulled the trigger while it was pointed towards 40-year-old Amanda Parker, hitting her in the chest.

The affidavit says Tyner didn't call 911 and took Parker to the hospital on his own, where she was pronounced dead.
