Joplin shooting update

We have updated information about the shooting incident at North and School on Wednesday afternoon.

The subject with the gunshot wound has been identified as 27-year-old David Jackson Jr of Joplin, MO. Jackson is being treated at a local hospital. The JPD investigation has determined that the shooting was an accidental, self inflicted gunshot.
