Governor vows ‘consequences’ if Arkansas concert proceeds
(AP) Gov. Asa Hutchinson says an Arkansas theater would face consequences if it defies a state order and holds what could be the first major concert this far into the coronavirus pandemic. TempleLive in Fort Smith on Wednesday showed no signs of backing down from its planned concert by country-rock singer Travis McCready. The concert is planned on Friday, three days before the state is allowing some indoor entertainment venues to reopen. The state Department of Health on Tuesday ordered the theater to cancel or postpone its concert. Hutchinson said the state could use local police to enforce the cease-and-desist order.
