New scam targets senior citizens

There's a new scam in town. Stephanie Garland of the Better Business Bureau says scammers are calling older people .... pretending to be someone in a position of trust. "These people are pretending to be with the Area Agency on Aging," Garland says."Part of that is the Joplin Senior Center." She says the scammers are looking for credit card and bank account numbers so they can rip their trusting victims off, usually to the tune of thousands of dollars. Garland says if you're called, first hang up, then call the police.
