Asbury man killed in Joplin crash

Joplin Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash that happened Thursday morning on North Main Street.

Preliminary investigation shows that a northbound vehicle driven by 18-year-old Silar Reynolds, of Joplin, crossed the center line and hit the southbound vehicle driven by 31-year-old Kortney Cobb of Asbury.

Reynolds was transported to a local hospital for moderate injuries. Cobb was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is on-going.
