Joplin extending stay-at-home order to match state’s

The city of Joplin is extending its stay-at-home order until Friday, April 24th to match the guidelines set by Missouri Governor Mike Parson.

Joplin’s order was set to expire on Sunday, April 19th, but will now run until the 24th unless its extended before then.

The city of Joplin issued their original order on April 3rd, just hours before Governor Parson announced the statewide stay-at-home order.

Officials say you should stay home unless you are an essential employee, getting essential items, or seeking medical care.

Joplin has recorded six cases of COVID-19. Three people have recovered so far.
