Coronavirus case “presumed positive” in Springfield

A second “presumptive positive” case of the coronavirus has been confirmed in Missouri. This time in Springfield. Governor Mike Parson says it is a travel related case of a person in their 20’s who had recently traveled to Austria. Parson says 73 people in the state have been tested for COVID-19 with 71 people have tested negative for the virus. The other positive case was in St. Louis County. This comes as numerous sports and entertainement events have been canceled or postponed throughout the country due to fears over the virus. The state will now get nearly $13 million from the federal government to combat the pandemic.
