There will never be chance at freedom for a man from Carthage that murdered his neighbor in cold blood.

63-year-old Ricky Marchbanks was convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 38-year-old Jeremy Neeper on May 16, 2016. He was sentenced to life without parole.

The two had been in an argument over a motorcycle that day. Marchbanks called the police on Neeper, saying he assaulted his wife, which was untrue. Aggravated at what had happened, Neeper dumped over a lawnmower in Marchbank's yard.

When Marchbanks came home intoxicated that night, he went to Neeper's home and shot him in his front yard. Neeper's stepson witnessed the shooting.
