Armed robbery suspects taken into custody by Joplin SWAT team

UPDATE: 26-year-old Tyrell Harbin of Joplin has been charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and armed criminal action.

Suspect(s) wanted in connection to an alleged armed robbery in Joplin Tuesday morning have been taken into custody. Police got the call around 8:15 a.m in the 2500 block of South Grand Avenue where the victims said the suspects had entered the house and stole property at gunpoint. Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.

Joplin Police were then able to locate the suspect vehicle about 15 minutes later parked in front of a house in the 2700 block of South Minnesota Avenue.

After several hours of trying to get the suspect to come out of the home, including using gas, Joplin SWAT were able to get all the suspects out. KZRG will continue to bring you updates on this story as more details are released.
