Toddler killed in UTV accident in Jasper County

A 18-month-old girl was killed in a UTV accident near Carthage on Saturday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an 8-year-old girl was driving the Polaris Ranger on private property about two miles northeast of Carthage when the vehicle hit a tree and overturned. A 5-year-old girl was also on the UTV as all three were ejected from the vehicle. The 5-year-old suffered serious injuries. The 8-year-old suffered minor injuries.
