Joplin Police thank public for support on Law Enforcement Day

It’s National Law Enforcement Day around the United States as citizens show their support to those in blue that put their lives on the line for us every single day.

Joplin Police Captain Nick Jimenez tells us that they’ve gotten a lot of support from the public. “We’d like to thank the community, Joplin, the surrounding areas. We’ve seen so much support for National Law Enforcement Day. We’ve had people send us Facebook messages and coming up to the lobby just to show their appreciation for what the officers do day in and day out.”

“We’re blessed in this area to have a great law enforcement community and more than anything we want to extend our thanks as an agency to the community of Joplin for the support they give us,” added Jimenez. “I’m very thankful that I get to work with and for a bunch of great men and women who have servant’s hearts and go out there and try to do the right thing everyday.”

Data shows that across the country there are over 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers, the most ever.
