Joplin man facing assault and DWI charges

A man from Joplin is facing charges after allegedly hitting a woman and then for driving while intoxicated. Read the full press release below:

At 9:00 PM, Jasper County Deputies were dispatched to a domestic in progress in the area of 3325 North Explorer Ln in Joplin, Mo. After arrival deputies located a 27 year old female with injuries to her head and facial area. During the investigation, the suspect identified as John L. Frazier, 42, of Joplin, drove past the deputies. Frazier was stopped and taken into custody and transported to the Japer County Detention Center in Carthage.

Charges for 2nd degree Domestic assault and DWI were sent to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
