Annual MLK Jr. event Jan. 20 at MSSU

Missouri Southern State University is preparing for its annual commemoration of the life of an outstanding American.

The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. event will be held Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 at MSSU.

An evening event is scheduled this year, in the North End Zone facility.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

The theme for this year's event is Music….A Universal Stepping Stone Toward Peace.  The program will begin at 7 p.m. and will include guest speaker Nimrod Chapel, the president of the Missouri NAACP.

The free event and is open to the public.
