Extreme SW Missouri spared Chronic Wasting Disease

Chronic Wasting Disease – or CWD – is a deady illness among white-tail deer and other members of the deer family. Warren Rose, CWD Operations Communication Chief in SW Missouri ….. says so far extreme southwest Missouri has been spared. “The closest that Chronic Wasting Disease has been documented in this corner of the state is in Stone County, as well as in Taney County,” Rose says. Rose says the disease does not affect humans. Deer hunting gives an annual $1 billion boost to the state economy in Missouri.
