Carthage man charged with raping juvenile

A man from Carthage now facing rape charges against a juvenile. Read the full press release below:

On Wednesday, a 14-year-old juvenile disclosed that they had been molested and identified 34-year-old Aarron Bittick as the perpetrator. A subsequent investigation was conducted and Aarron Bittick was taken into custody.

Bittick is currently being held in the Jasper County Jail on a warrant for 1st degree Statutory Rape of a person less than 14 years of age, Aggravated Sexual Offense and Statutory Sodomy, sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old. He was given a bond of $25,000 cash only with no contact direct or indirect with the victim.
