Body of missing Anderson woman found

After nearly a week, the search has ended.

The body of Linda D. Kuykendall, 64, of Anderson - swept out of her home by a flash flood last week - was found this morning, in a wooded area over 3 miles from where her home was carried away.

The body was found shortly after another day of searching began today, an effort that included the National Guard, the mounted Jasper County Sheriff's Department and officers from multiple law enforcement and emergency agencies.

The body was taken to the McDonald County Coroner's office.
