MO Auditor Blasts Governor's Office Over Personal Info Redactions

How much access should the media have to you personal information when it comes to an open records request?

Governor Mike Parson says the answer should be none.

At issue is a complaint by Auditor Nicole Galloway that says the Governor redacted the phone numbers, addresses and emails of private citizens who contact his office after the Kansas City Star filed a Sunshine Request.

Parson's spokesman says they will continue to shield certain contact information from public-record requests, citing our First Amendment rights.

Galloway has brought her complaint to the Missouri Attorney General.
