Three killed in southeast Kansas crash

Three elderly women were killed in a crash Tuesday morning in southeast Kansas.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says around 8:30 AM, a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Casey Andrews of Tulsa crossed the center line of Highway 75, just north of Caney.

The crash report says He hit an SUV head-on.

85-year-old Patricia Chalfant, 82-year-old Wilma Rowden, both of Neodesha, and 85-year-old Mary Compton, of Fredonia, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Andrews was taken to an Oklahoma Hospital with serious injuries.

The reports says that all were wearing their seat belts.
