Pittsburg Police searching for missing teen

UPDATE: She has been found. “On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Pittsburg Police Department was notified by Jasper County, Missouri authorities that Callysta Smith, who has been missing from her Pittsburg residence since March 4, 2019, was located at a residence in Jasper County and taken into custody of juvenile authorities. Ms. Smith was processed through Missouri Juvenile authorities and was subsequently released to the custody of her parent.
The police department would like to thank our community for providing tips and information concerning this ongoing investigation, and we are certainly grateful Ms. Smith has been found and returned safely to her home. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the resolution of this situation is continuing.”

Pittsburg Police are asking for your assistance in locating a missing teenager.
15-year-old Callysta Smith was last seen on March 04, 2019 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Smith is a white female approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with red/brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a red Pittsburg State University hoodie, sweatpants, with black and white checkered Vans shoes. Smith is Type 1 Diabetic and left her residence without her medication.
