Road maintenance truck flips near Granby

There's proof-positive this morning that that those trying to protect local roads from winter storms also suffer the effects of severe weather conditions.

An ice-scraping and road maintenance truck flipped at the intersection of Highways W and 60 near Granby around 5:40 this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver of the eastbound 2017 International was attempting to make a U-turn when the truck overturned.

The driver, 59 year old Glenn Parrigon, was transported by Newton County EMS to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin suffering from only minor injuries.
