JHS Principal announces resignation

Joplin High School’s principal is stepping down at the end of the academic year. Dr. Shane Hopper was hired by the Joplin School Board for the position in June after working in the St. Louis public schools for 20 years. Hopper’s resignation was accepted during a closed session of the school board’s meeting Tuesday night.
