Pittsburg woman arrested in possession of stolen truck, trailer

A Pittsburg woman was arrested after she was found driving a stolen truck and a trailer. Read the full press release below:

On Sunday, February 24, 2019, the Pittsburg Police Department was contacted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department concerning a stolen vehicle possibly in our City. Through an active investigation, Jasper County Authorities were able to pinpoint a possible location of the vehicle. Officers responded to the Dollar General Store, 2004 S. Rouse where they located a white 2008 Ford F-250 pickup truck with a trailer attached. Officers confirmed the VIN of the truck matched the VIN of the vehicle reported stolen.

Officers subsequently contacted a female subject in the store, who denied having knowledge of the vehicle in question. Officers were able to determine the vehicle was driven to the store by the female subject and placed the suspect under arrest. In addition to recovering the stolen vehicle and trailer which was also reported stolen, officers located other items of suspected stolen property in the vehicle. The truck and trailer were towed to the Pittsburg Police Department where they were processed and turned over to Missouri authorities on Monday. The suspect was identified as Jami Nicole McAnally, 29, of Pittsburg.

McAnally was transported to the Crawford County Jail and charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Property. Information from the police department investigation was also forwarded to Missouri authorities.
